Geely Galaxy E8 to Release First Major OTA Update with New Features

TapTechNews September 23rd news, Geely Galaxy New Energy announced that the first major OTA update of Geely Galaxy E8 is about to be released, featuring the first installation of the Ai Galaxy Genie and a comprehensive upgrade of Galaxy FlymeAuto.

TapTechNews noted that the currently available Geely Galaxy E8 model was launched in January this year, and then two Longteng versions were introduced in April. Currently, there are a total of 7 pure electric vehicle models on sale, with an official price range of $24,200 - $33,100.

The Geely Galaxy E8 has dimensions of 5010/1920/1465mm (length/width/height) respectively, with a wheelbase of 2925mm, and a drag coefficient of only 0.199Cd. This car has the world's first 45-inch 8K borderless large screen, with an effective display area reaching 1130*138mm; it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 flagship cabin chip, and has a built-in 'Galaxy Borderless Cabin', cooperating with Meizu Flyme to support functions such as three-finger task flow and address transfer to the car, and supports two-way satellite communication.

The Geely Galaxy E8 offers three different power assemblies: 400V + 200kW single motor, 800V + 200kW single motor, and 800V + 475kW dual motors, and provides 62kWh and 76kWh batteries, corresponding to cruising ranges of 341 miles, 413 miles and 385 miles.
