TapTechNews May 25th news, the overseas startup Daylight launched its first product, the DC-1 tablet, equipped with a 10.5-inch 60Hz "LivePaper" screen, with a pre-sale price of 729 US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 5285 Chinese yuan).
According to the introduction, the 10.5-inch "LivePaper" screen carried by DC-1 has a resolution of 1600x1200, providing a perception similar to that of an E-Ink electronic ink screen and a 60Hz ghost-free experience of a regular LCD screen.
In addition, this screen is treated with a surface matte finish, which can provide a writing experience similar to that of paper, and adopts the Wacom EMR solution.
On the software side, the DC-1 uses the Sol:OS operating system customized based on Android 13, which is specifically optimized for the reading experience and allows the installation of any third-party App.
Regarding performance, Daylight DC-1 is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage, and has an 8000mAh battery built-in. There is a customizable "Action buttons" on the top of the fuselage.
This tablet also has stereo speakers, USB Type-C interface, supports PD charging, microSD memory card expansion and PogoPin contact interface for connecting peripheral devices, and weighs 550 grams.
The Daylight DC-1 tablet has now started pre-sale. The "Founder's Edition" includes the tablet, stylus, and protective case, with a price of 729 US dollars (currently about 5285 Chinese yuan). The first three batches have been sold out, and the fourth batch will be shipped in November this year.
