Microsoft to Close Xbox 360 Digital Store in July, Offers Major Discounts on Games

TapTechNews May 15 news, Microsoft announced that it will close the Xbox 360 digital store in July this year. To commemorate this game console that has accompanied players for many years, Microsoft has cooperated with publishers to provide major discounts for Xbox 360 digital games. The discounts include classic masterpieces such as Tom Clancy and Tomb Raider, as well as casual entertainment works such as Just Dance and Puzzle Arcade.

To celebrate the glorious history of Xbox 360, we have partnered with many publishing partners to bring players great discounts on online stores and console stores, Microsoft wrote in its latest blog. They will update the discount list in June and July respectively, and all discounts will continue until the store closes.

Microsoft emphasized that the store closure only affects the purchase of new games and content, and already purchased Xbox 360 games and DLC can still be played on the console.

The closing date of the Xbox 360 digital store is July 29, when the Microsoft Movies & TV app on the console will also stop running. Fortunately, players can still enjoy Xbox 360 games on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles through backward compatibility.
