Google's Initiative in Building AI Chatbot Based on Celebrities

TapTechNews June 25 news, according to TheInformation's revelation, Google is building a new AI chatbot based on celebrities and YouTube Internet celebrities.

This idea is not originally from Google. Currently, start-up companies like Character.ai, and large companies like Meta have already launched similar products.

It is revealed that Google's AI chatbot for celebrities and Internet celebrities will be powered by the company's Gemini large language model. The company is also trying to establish cooperative partnerships with influential celebrities and Internet celebrities, and is also developing a function that allows people to create their own chatbots just by describing their personalities and appearances, similar to the practice of Character.ai.

TapTechNews also found that Noam Shazeer, one of the co-founders of Character.ai, once served as a Google engineer, and he is also one of the creators of the AI basic technology transformers.

It is still not clear who Google may cooperate with as celebrities and Internet celebrities. The cooperative partners of Meta's chatbot include TikTok Internet celebrity Charli D'Amelio, YouTube Internet celebrity Mr. Beast, singer Snoop Dogg, American football player Tom Brady, and model Paris Hilton, etc., while the characters of Character.ai include politicians, philosophers, fictional characters, and even a talking cheese.
