Framework Launches New Version of Framework 13 Notebook with Intel Core Ultra Processors

TapTechNews May 30th news, the modular notebook company Framework announced yesterday that it has launched a new version of the Framework 13 notebook equipped with Intel Core Ultra 1st generation processors.

The new Framework 13 notebook can be optionally equipped with Intel Core Ultra5125H, Ultra7155H and Ultra7165H processors, up to 32GB DDR5 memory and up to 1TB solid-state drive, weighing 1.3 kilograms (about 2.87 pounds).

Framework said it has redesigned the cooling system for this notebook and adjusted the fan speed curve to ensure good heat dissipation while having lower noise.

A major highlight of the new Framework 13 notebook is its 13.5-inch anti-glare display with a resolution of 2880*1920.

This display has a 120Hz refresh rate, supports VRR variable refresh rate, the brightness can reach 500 nits, and the contrast ratio reaches 1500:1.

Framework confirmed that the panel of this display was originally designed by another company, so the border of this display is not a standard rectangle, but a rounded rectangle.

In addition, this notebook is equipped with the OV08X camera module from OmniVision and adopts the 1080p mode of four pixels in one, which can improve the shooting effect in low light environments.

The changes in the Core Ultra version are also synchronized to the refreshed version of the AMD Framework 13 with the Ryzen 7040 processor.

Both series of notebooks are now available for pre-order and will begin shipping in August, with the Core Ultra version starting at $1099 (TapTechNews note: currently about 7979 RMB).

In addition to the main products, Framework's modular SD card reader has also been accepting reservations. Framework also released the Framework for Business commercial product plan with longer warranty.
