TapTechNews July 4th news, the blogger @YuanShu's Weibo posted yesterday that motorcycles can now handle the official ETC, and the handling fee is $43.11.
Offline posters show that this is the first official motorcycle ETC, featuring a cardless design and supporting IP67 dust-proof and water-proof.
Posters also show that due to different motorcycle highway policies in different regions, the current provinces that have opened motorcycle support for expressways are: Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Anhui, Hubei, Guizhou, Yunnan, Gansu, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Jilin, Liaoning, a total of 12 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
The handling method: You need the original ID card, the original driving license, and the motorcycle (the vehicle has to go to the site), and you can go to the handling place for registration and installation (even the corporate-owned ones can be handled). The fee is $43.11. This is a stored-value type. First deposit money in the mini-program, and then install the device on the motorcycle.
TapTechNews noticed that currently this ETC speed pass card only has business outlets in Beijing, and motorcycle owners in Beijing can take the lead in trying the experience.
The public account Beijing A Storyteller also released a personal experience article about motorcycles handling ETC. This ETC is powered by button batteries, and one person can handle multiple motorcycle ETCs.
