Wuling's New Model Resembles Japanese K-CAR, May Open New Market

TapTechNews on October 4th reported that a set of spy photos of a new Wuling model circulated online. The exterior design of this model is similar to the K-CAR box car in Japan. Some netizens guessed that this might be an enlarged version of Hongguang MINIEV, or it might be called Hongguang PLUS.

TapTechNews noticed that from the spy photos, it can be seen that the overall shape of this car is square. The front headlight group adopts a camouflage design, and the hidden central grille and thick front bumper look very solid. The interior space is spacious, especially the excellent performance in body height.

The rear space is also impressive, adopting a sliding door design, making it more like a mini MPV. However, the tire size of the new car is relatively small, obviously positioned in the economic entry-level market. The taillight is currently a temporary design, and the tailgate is relatively large for convenient storage.

In the domestic market, there has been no similar K-CAR model for many years. If this car goes on the market, it may open up a new market. In the era of electrification, this kind of large-space model is easier to popularize, with low price and strong practicability, especially the getting on and off the car in the rear row will be more convenient.
