Samsung Exynos2500 Breakthroughs and Challenges

TapTechNews July 13th news, the R & D path of Samsung Exynos2500 can be described as full of twists and turns. Last month, some analysts said that the yield of Samsung's 3nm GAA process was too low, resulting in the inability of Exynos chips to be shipped on time and unable to ensure the stable first release of the GalaxyS25 series of mobile phones. Therefore, some netizens hold a pessimistic attitude towards its fate, but now there is new good news coming out.

Leaker @MappleGold revealed that Samsung Exynos2500 has recently made breakthrough progress, and at least the currently taped engineering samples have reached a high frequency of 3.20 GHz, while being more power-efficient than Apple's A15 Bionic and will become the most efficient chip to date.

TapTechNews note: Apple's A15 Bionic was released three years ago and was only mass-produced using TSMC's 5nm process, integrating nearly 15 billion transistors, with a 6-core design (2 large cores + 4 small cores) and a 16-core neural engine.

Samsung Electronics has set the latest time for the mass production of Exynos2500 chips by the end of this year, so there is still some time before September to October for the Samsung LSI department to further optimize the design plan.

Previously, there have been a large number of reports that the yield of Samsung's 3nm GAA process is only 20%, but Samsung made a guarantee earlier this month, stating that the yield and performance of its 3nm GAA process are stable and the production has been on the right track.
