Microsoft Releases PowerToys 0.82 Update for Windows with New Features

TapTechNews July 3, Microsoft today released PowerToys version 0.82 update for Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems. In addition to fixing BUGs in previous versions and improving software stability, it also brought many new features to existing components such as PowerRename.

Added new functions for PowerRename: Users use random character sequences and UUID when renaming files.

Improved the 'Paste as JSON' function to better handle other CSV separators and optimized ini file conversion.

Fixed many crash problems reported by users to Microsoft servers.

Fixed the user interface problems reported after ColorPicker and PowerToysRun were upgraded to WPFUI.

PowerToys 0.82 update also fixed many BUGs such as AdvancedPaste, ColorPicker, environment variable editor, file explorer add-ons, etc. Microsoft said that this update did not bring new 'toys', but will bring new components and functions in version 0.83.
