TapTechNews June 11th news, at the 2024 WWDC Worldwide Developers Conference held by Apple today, a preview release of the all-new iPadOS 18 update was presented. The updated content of iPadOS 18 is basically the same as that of iOS 18, but also brings many new functions/features specifically for the large screen of the iPad.
TapTechNews attached the main contents as follows:
Like iOS 18 system, in iPadOS 18 users can customize the home screen, including freely placing app icons and so on.
Apple has also expanded the Control Center to support creating multiple lists and views, resizing and rearranging icons, etc. In addition, there is a new floating tab bar that can facilitate navigation between applications and can be further adjusted to remember your favorite software.
The screen sharing function can draw graphs on other people's iPads and even share their screens.
The software update finally adds a built-in calculator to Apple's tablet. This means that iPad users will no longer need to download third-party applications for simple math calculations, which are often full of ads and rarely optimized for the larger form factor of the iPad.
The new calculator can also be used with the Apple Pencil so that you can solve math problems after writing with the stylus.
At the same time, Apple also launched SmartHandwriting (SmartScript), which can improve the appearance of your handwriting through machine learning. It can also reproduce your own handwriting style, do spell-check for you, and convert the input text into your own style.
