The newly launched JD.com's HarmonyOS native application trial version, based on the system-level AI capabilities of HarmonyOS NEXT, the Pangu large model and the intention framework, can realize the understanding of the user's explicit and high-order intentions, and through the intelligent entrances such as Xiaoyi suggestion, Xiaoyi dialogue, intelligent search, etc., to more accurately meet the personalized needs of users in different terminals or scenarios.

Thanks to the ability of HarmonyOS NEXT to develop once and deploy on multiple terminals, JD.com can also greatly reduce the cost and workload of developing HarmonyOS native applications, and realize the upgrade on various HarmonyOS ecological terminal devices such as mobile phones, tablets, smart screens, and car machines.

Next, JD.com will further deepen the cooperation with HarmonyOS, such as further expanding the immediate retail application scenarios through the system-level live window function of HarmonyOS, and further improving the multi-scenario interactive experience through innovative functions such as application continuation.

According to the previous report of TapTechNews, as early as September 2020, JD.com and Huawei signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and successfully launched the JD.com HarmonyOS hybrid package when HarmonyOS 2.0 was released in June 2021.

In July 2022, HarmonyOS 3.0 was released, and JD.com Health and Huawei Health reached the first cooperation for the first time to realize the field integration and exploration of a new model of operation co-construction.

In January this year, JD.com officially started the development of HarmonyOS native applications, based on the characteristics of HarmonyOS NEXT such as full-scenario, native intelligence, and native security, to create a new shopping experience for consumers.

JD.com introduced that in the process of adapting to the HarmonyOS operating system, JD.com and Huawei jointly tackled the industry's difficult points in adaptation, and promoted the native development support of Taro, a multi-terminal unified development solution, for the ArkUI of HarmonyOS in the industry first, which built the basic technical support for the rapid adaptation of the JD.com App to HarmonyOS NEXT and the subsequent construction of the HarmonyOS ecological system.

The HarmonyOS version of the JD.com App uses the Taro technology launched by JD.com, and as a multi-terminal unified development solution, Taro can realize the development of cross-terminal applications such as mini-programs, H5, and RN in the Web development paradigm.

Based on Taro's ability of 'one code, multi-terminal adaptation', the HarmonyOS version of the JD.com App realizes the code unity with the JD.com shopping mini-program, reducing the cost of multi-terminal development and maintenance. Through the experience of the cooperation between the two parties, JD.com will help many mini-programs, H5, and RN businesses within the company and in the industry to quickly migrate to the HarmonyOS ecological system.

At the same time, in order to further improve the performance of Taro in the development of HarmonyOS applications, JD.com is in-depth cooperation with Huawei to launch an adapted version based on CAPI. Currently, the development of the CAPI version of the single-threaded archi tecture is nearly completed, achieving a great improvement in rendering performance.

At the same time, the two parties are also starting the development work of the dual-threaded architecture version. In the future, the performance of the HarmonyOS application developed by Taron is claimed to be infinitely close to the performance and experience of the native ArkTS application, and even有望超越 (expected to surpass) in some specific scenarios.
