From January to September this year, Volvo's global total sales was 560,922 units, an increase of 10% compared to the same period in 2023, among which 256,749 units of new energy models increased by 33% year-on-year.

Volvo's chief commercial officer and deputy chief executive Björn Annwall said: The overall market situation remains volatile and uncertain, but we are pleased with the solid performance in Europe, especially the electric vehicles led by the EX30.

TapTechNews noted that Volvo's sales in Europe in September reached 31,276 units, an increase of 23% compared to the same period last year; among which the sales of new energy models increased by 52% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 66% of the total sales in Europe in September.

Volvo's sales in China in September reached 12,915 units, a decrease of 16% compared to September 2023; the cumulative sales from January to September this year was 113,037 units, a decrease of 9%. The sales of new energy vehicles in September was 1,363 units, an increase of 7% year-on-year, and 9,982 units this year, a decrease of 10% year-on-year.

In September this year, the XC60 was the best-selling model under Volvo, with sales of 18,096 units (20,243 units in the same period in 2023), followed by the XC40/EX40 with a total sales of 13,930 units (18,306 units in 2023), and the EX30 with 9,610 units.
