Alibaba said that in China, the 达摩院 AI early cancer screening technology has provided services to more than 6 million people, covering the screening of pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, liver tumor and other diseases. Internationally, it has reached a strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Antigua and Barbuda.

After this signing, the WHO International Cooperation Center for Digital Health will provide support in terms of channels, markets, implementation, technology, and standards. More developing countries and regions in the world with unbalanced medical resources will share this cutting-edge achievement.

According to the official introduction of Alibaba, as early as October 2022, the company initially verified the technical feasibility of combining AI and plain CT. In November last year, Alibaba, in conjunction with more than 10 top global research institutions, released the pancreatic cancer detection model PANDA, and for the first time proposed large-scale early pancreatic cancer screening with plain CT + AI, and the relevant paper was published in the international top medical journal Nature Medicine.

In February this year, the medical AI of 达摩院 was piloted in a public welfare manner in Lishui Central Hospital and Jingning County People's Hospital.
