WPS Hongmeng Version Based on HarmonyOSNEXT Starts Public Beta, Achieves Smooth Operation and Cross-Terminal Collaboration
TapTechNews October 8th news, today, the WPS Hongmeng version based on HarmonyOSNEXT officially kicks off public beta. The official said that it took one year to transplant 40 million lines of code across platforms and achieve smooth operation on all ends.
According to the introduction, based on the native interconnection and native smoothness characteristics of HarmonyOSNEXT, the WPS Hongmeng version can not only run more smoothly on the PC side, but also realize seamless transfer and cross-terminal collaboration among various devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and smart screens.
According to Kingsoft Office, in the process of developing the WPS Hongmeng native application, the team has completed the cross-platform transplantation work of more than 40 million lines of code in total, realized the compatibility of the cross-platform interactive interface, and promoted the construction of third-party cross-platform infrastructure. After more than one year of unremitting efforts and in close cooperation with the Hongmeng engineers, the WPS R & D team has made product adaptations on different screen sizes such as mobile phones, folding screens, and tablets, and based on the unification of multi-platform accounts, achieved cross-terminal and cross-device document and data sharing, and supported multi-user collaboration, browsing, editing, and revision capabilities. Currently, the WPS Hongmeng native application has run smoothly on all ends, and WPSAI has also been synchronized on multiple ends, and dozens of AI functions have been migrated to HarmonyOSNEXT. It is learned that more than 10,000 applications and meta-services have been listed on the HarmonyOSNEXT application market, fully covering 18 vertical fields.
TapTechNews noted that the first batch of public beta models of the WPS Hongmeng version includes the Huawei Mate60 series, the MateX5 series, and the MatePadPro13.2 series. Users can apply for an upgrade through the My Huawei App - Upgrade and Taste New.
