It is introduced that Geely Star Buses independently developed the methanol-hydrogen electric technology based on methanol fuel, and added an on-board energy replenishment system driven by methanol to the electric vehicle architecture, which does not need to rely highly on charging piles compared to pure electric vehicles.

The Geely Star Buses U11M methanol-hydrogen electric highway bus is equipped with a 6-liter methanol engine independently developed by Geely, and the vehicle's cruising range exceeds 372.82 miles (600 kilometers), which is more than twice the cruising range of a pure electric bus (300 degrees of electricity), and the energy replenishment only takes 10 minutes; compared to diesel vehicles, the fuel cost saves one yuan per kilometer under the same driving range, and only costs one yuan per average kilometer, which is suitable for various usage scenarios such as tourism leasing, scenic spots, highways, etc.
