The 2025 Volkswagen ID.7 was initially planned to be launched in North America in the third quarter of 2024, but now it seems that this flagship electric vehicle may only arrive in the North American market next year. Of course, this also depends on whether Volkswagen will completely cancel the ID.7 North American launch plan. After all, Volkswagen's sedans have not performed very well in the US market in the past. Both the Passat and Arteon have been discontinued, and the ID.7 was originally intended to replace their positions. TapTechNews noted that the car has already been on sale in Europe and China before.

In fact, Volkswagen may focus more on the SUV segment that Americans prefer. 'In Volkswagen's North American market, in the first quarter, the brand benefited from its SUV models and had strong sales, increasing by 27.5%,' Volkswagen said in a statement. 'We are still committed to electrification, and this year we have improved the range and performance of the 2024 all-electric ID.4 SUV.'

Volkswagen also mentioned in the press release that it plans to launch the 2025 ID.Buzz electric van in the fourth quarter of 2024.
