Huawei's Yu Chengdong Reveals He's an 'i Person'

On June 2nd, TapTechNews. During the live test drive of his company's car by Yu Chengdong, the Standing Director of Huawei, the Chairman of the Terminal BG, and the Chairman of the Intelligent Vehicle Solution BU, he was asked whether he is an 'i person' or an 'e person'. Yu Chengdong said he should be an 'i person'.

Yu Chengdong stated that people see his outward expression is all to make his company's car be seen by more people. He further added, 'I am introverted in my bones, but in this industry, when we have to do live broadcasts and promotions, there's no choice, I can only work hard.'

According to TapTechNews' understanding, 'i person' and 'e person' respectively correspond to two major types in the MBTI personality test. An 'i person' refers to having an introverted personality, while an 'e person' refers to having an extroverted personality. The biggest difference between the two is that 'i people' enjoy being alone, while 'e people' are more willing to draw energy through socializing, similar to the difference between'socially anxious' and'socially bold'. However, the result of this test is not fixed and more like a form of entertainment.

MBTI (Myers–Briggs Type Indicator) is a personality type theory model jointly developed by American writer Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Catherine Cook Briggs.

Based on the eight psychological types divided by Swiss psychologist Carl Jung (extroverted thinking type, introverted thinking type, extroverted emotional type, introverted emotional type, extroverted perception type, introverted perception type, extroverted intuitive type, introverted intuitive type), after more than two decades of research, it was compiled into the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. MBTI has four dimensions, and being closer to which endpoint may mean that the person has a certain preference.
