TapTechNews learned from Space that US astronauts Tracy Caldwell Dyson and Mike Barratt were informed by the mission control center at 8:52 am Eastern Time in the US today (20:52 Beijing Time) to stop the originally planned 6.5-hour spacewalk outside the International Space Station. Before that, the two switched to the internal power supply of the spacesuit at 8:46 am, which means that the spacewalk has entered the preparation stage.

During NASA's live broadcast, the astronauts reported that there is water everywhere, and the leak seemed to come from the Servicing and Cooling Umbilical (SCU) on Dyson's spacesuit. Although the situation is serious, the astronauts are not in any danger due to the leak. When the leak occurred, they were still inside the hatch, and the outer door was opened, but closed shortly after the spacewalk was terminated.

It is reported that this is the second time the spacewalk has been postponed. On June 13, due to the problem of spacesuit discomfort of Matt Dominick, the walking plan with another astronaut team Matt Dominick and Tracy Dyson was postponed.

It is worth noting that the International Space Station originally planned to have a spacewalk on July 2, but it is not yet clear whether it will still take place in this case.
