TapTechNews on June 17, FlexEnable today announced that the world's first mass-produced consumer product using organic transistor technology has begun shipping.

FlexEnable cooperated with DKE Dongfang Kema (responsible for the screen bending lamination) and LG Display (responsible for the production of flexible OTFT backplane) to realize the design of LedgerStax digital crypto wallet with 180° bendable flexible E Ink screen.

TapTechNews noted that the organic materials and process IP used by the highly flexible organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) of this display screen were developed, provided and licensed by FlexEnable.

According to the introduction, this OTFT technology will be applied to AR/VR optical devices, privacy screens, automotive smart windows and organic LCD screens in the future.
