TapTechNews July 12th news, in the latest batch of application lists announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today, two new added models of BYD Han (two DM-i and one EV) appeared. The appearance of the new car doesn't have many changes, but the optional roof lidar is available.
See the following figure for the general information of the three different models:
According to BYD's new product release rhythm, the newly appeared Han DM-i additional models are expected to simultaneously use the latest DM5.0 hybrid technology. As previously reported by TapTechNews, the fifth-generation DM technology has the world's highest 46.06% engine thermal efficiency, the world's lowest 2.9 liters per 100 kilometers fuel consumption when the battery is depleted, and the world's longest 2100 kilometers comprehensive range.
The fifth-generation DM of BYD adopts three architectures: the power architecture mainly based on electricity, the whole temperature range vehic le thermal management architecture, and the intelligent power integration electronic and electrical architecture. The energy density of the blade battery of the fifth-generation DM is increased to 115 Wh/kg, an increase of 15.9%, the discharge rate is 16C, and the feedback rate is 5C, an increase of 20.3%. BYD is the world's only one that uses a 12V lithium iron phosphate small battery, which weighs less at 2.2 Kg compared to the traditional lead-acid battery, and the charge and discharge efficiency is 94%.
The thermal management architecture of the fifth-generation DM adopts the second-generation battery direct cooling system, which can save 34% of energy consumption and improve the uniformity by 45%. The brand-new second-generation battery pulse self-heating, and the heating speed is increased by 60%.
Taking the Qin L DM-i and the Seal 06 DM-i as examples, the fifth-generation DM has a 100-kilometer acceleration of 7.5 seconds, a 100-kilometer fuel consumption when the battery is depleted of 2.9 liters under NEDC, and a CLTC power consumption of 10.7 kWh/100 km. The measured average fuel consumption when the battery of Qin L is depleted is 2.26 liters, and that of the Seal 06 is 2.11 liters.
