Tencent Showcases Advanced Flight Simulator Visual System

TapTechNews May 24th news, at the ongoing 7th Digital China Construction Summit, Tencent showcased a 'Full-Motion Flight Simulator Visual System', which is mainly used for pilot training and consists of a console and a four-screen setup.

TapTechNews learned from interviewing on-site staff that this simulator visual system was jointly created by Tencent and China Southern Airlines. This machine is claimed to be 'based on Tencent's self-developed game engine', and for the first time realizes global dynamic lighting and 'Earth-scale scene realistic rendering', and 'the number of polygon generation surfaces has increased by 380 times, and the texture refinement has increased by 100 times'.

Tencent also stated that the system also uses game PCG procedural content generation and AIGC technology, and has high efficiency in the production of landscapes, claiming that 'a panoramic modeling of a large city can be completed in half a day' and 'a high-precision restoration of an airport can be achieved in 3 days'.
