BYD Launches Song PLUS DM-i in Ecuador at Guayaquil Auto Show

TapTechNews July 13th, BYD Auto officially announced today at the Guayaquil Auto Show, the largest and most influential auto show in Ecuador, that it has launched the Song PLUS DM-i, introducing the plug-in hybrid model to the Ecuadorian market for the first time, and the price has not been announced yet.

The Song PLUS DM-i is equipped with BYD's DM-i super hybrid technology, and the NEDC comprehensive cruising range reaches 1105 kilometers. The car is equipped with a 15.6-inch intelligent rotating screen and Infinity Deluxe sound system, adding intelligent and comfortable high-quality enjoyment for users' travel.

In addition, BYD also introduced its newly opened dealership store in Guayaquil and its market expansion plan at the auto show. As part of the international expansion strategy, BYD will continue to actively promote local business to provide advanced new energy vehicle products and high-quality services.

According to TapTechNews' inquiry, the Song PLUS DM-i has dimensions of 4775mm * 1890mm * 1670mm (approx. 187.6 inches * 74.4 inches * 65.7 inches) and a wheelbase of 2765mm (approx. 108.9 inches), with a trunk capacity of 552 liters (approx. 19.5 cubic feet), and the domestic model's guided price is 129,800 - 169,800 yuan.

BYD Song PLUS DM-i is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor, with a combined maximum power of 213 kilowatts and a peak torque of 451 Newton-meters. It is equipped with an 18.3 kWh battery, which can provide about 109 kilometers (approx. 67.7 miles) of pure electric cruising range.
