Chery Tiggo 8L Starts Pre-Sale in the US $21,300 to $25,800, Launches in August
TapTechNews July 17th news, tonight Chery Tiggo 8L officially kicks off pre-sale, with the pre-sale price range of $21,300 - $25,800. During the pre-sale period, paying a deposit of $280 can be deducted by $14,000, and can enjoy up to $21,600 of trade-in subsidy and a $51,600 equity package.
According to TapTechNews, the new car is positioned as a midsize SUV, larger in size than Tiggo 8 PLUS, equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, and will be officially launched on August 8. At the launch event, the global user ecosystem brand Together CHERY was also released, and Xiaoqi Classmate was launched. Up to now, the cumulative sales volume of Tiggo series models has reached 5 million, and the single-item sales volume of Tiggo 8 series has exceeded 1 million. In 2023, the global sales volume of Chery SUVs was 2,049,248, and the sales volume in the first half of 2024 was 1,265,846.
In terms of appearance, Tiggo 8L adopts the front face design of the Tiggo family style, equipped with a large-sized dot-matrix grille and slender blackened front headlight groups, with large-sized air intakes on both sides, and the front face looks fierce. The side of the body has a dynamic waistline, the body size is 1887.6/760/680.3 in (4795/1930/1729 mm), the wheelbase is 109.1 in (2770 mm), and there are 5-seat and 7-seat versions. The rear adopts a through-type taillight design, with the Chery English LOGO at the lower part of the taillight, and uses a chrome-plated dual-outlet exhaust on both sides.
In the interior, the new car adopts a minimalist design, minimizing physical buttons as much as possible, focusing on the use of materials, with wood trim and a large amount of leather wrapping, adopting a wraparound interior design, equipped with multi-color ambient lights. The new car is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K resolution floating screen, supporting CarPlay, HiCar, and CarLife mobile phone interconnection. The car infotainment system uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, the instrument panel is 10.25 inches, and there is a wireless charging panel below the center console. The new car supports L2-level assisted driving.
The new car has 5-seat and 7-seat versions. The 7-seat version adopts a 2+3+2 layout. The front seats support heating, ventilation, and massage, with headrest speakers. The second and third-row seats support electric adjustment and are equipped with 14 Sony speakers.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 254 horsepower (187 kilowatts) and a maximum torque of 390 pound-feet, mated to an 8AT transmission, providing two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive models.
