ASUS' Subsidiary AAEON Launches PICO-RAP4 Embedded Single-Board Computer

TapTechNews June 25th news, AAEON, a subsidiary of ASUS, has newly launched the PICO-RAP4, which is the latest member of its Pico-ITX embedded single-board computer series and can meet the needs of advanced computing applications such as robots and medical imaging equipment.

The PICO-RAP4 supports Intel's U300E series processors, and can support up to Core i7-1370PE (6 P-cores, 8 E-cores, a total of 20 threads), providing a hybrid CPU architecture that can handle demanding tasks related to the target application efficiently and at high speed. The PICO-RAP4 also supports up to 32GB of SODIMM DDR5 (up to 5200 MT/s), providing a faster data transfer rate and higher bandwidth in a more flexible configuration.

This platform supports Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, and supports external displays through HDMI, eDP and LVDS to achieve dual-screen synchronous display.

Unlike its previous generation products, this embedded single-board computer is equipped with two network ports, one of which is an RJ45 port for Intel Ethernet Controller I226-V with a rate of 2.5 GbE; the other is Intel Ethernet Connection I219-LM with a rate of gigabit.

In terms of internal connectors, the PICO-RAP4 provides a wider range of functions, including two RS-232/422/485 serial COM connectors, an 8-bit GPIO, SMBus (common layer I2C), and an optional audio header.

In terms of expansion, the PICO-RAP4 is equipped with an M.2 2280 M-Key for the PCIe4.0 [x4] interface and provides additional storage space through the MiniPCIe/mSATA slot.

The circuit board is compatible with Windows and Ubuntu operating systems, and AAEON can also provide a heatsink or active fan heatsink according to customer requirements.
