BYD Unveils Interior of Hardcore Off-Road New Car Bao 8
TapTechNews June 17th news, this morning, BYD Fangchengpao Automobile announced the interior official pictures of the medium and large-sized hardcore off-road new car Bao 8. The car is built based on BYD's DMO super hybrid off-road platform with the design concept of 'future starship aesthetics', and it is expected to be listed after the third quarter of this year.
The central control layout of this car is 'inherited' from Bao 5, equipped with an embedded instrument screen and a co-pilot screen, while carrying a suspended central control large screen, and matching a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a 'yacht'-style electronic gear shifting mechanism, and also retains a large number of physical buttons, reflecting the hardcore sense of technology.
The official announced two rear seat layouts: seven seats of 2+3+2 and six seats of 2+2+2. The second row of the six-seat model is equipped with an independent seat, supporting electric adjustment, and is expected to have functions such as ventilation, heating, and massage. At the same time, the seven-seat model supports one-click flattening of the co-pilot seat, thereby forming an effect similar to a large bed.

In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 5195 / 1994 / 1875 (1905) inches, and a wheelbase of 2920 inches.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a special off-road hybrid architecture, adopts the DM-o hybrid system, including a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 200 kW (272 hp) and a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak power of 200 kW in the front and 300 kW in the rear, and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery.
According to BYD's official introduction, the new car will also be equipped with the Yunian-P intelligent body control system, which has strong ultimate wading capacity.
