World's First Successful Pig-to-Human Xenotransplant Liver Surgery in China

CT and B-ultrasound confirm that the blood flow of the hepatic artery, portal vein and hepatic vein of the transplanted pig liver is completely normal.

The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University said that the success of this case of transgenic pig to living human xenotransplantation has created a precedent in transgenic pig xenotransplant liver. After retrieval, it is the world's first living human xenotransplant liver operation, and it is also the fifth living human xenotransplant organ operation in the world. It is the original innovation from 0 to 1 by Chinese scientists, indicating that the xenotransplant liver technology of Chinese scientists has stood at the forefront of the world and will become one of the most important breakthroughs in the medical field.
