TapTechNews reported on May 14 that Microsoft announced in a press release today, inviting XboxInsider players in the AlphaRing channel to test the 2406.240509-2000 new version, which introduces the 'Update Pre-Download' feature.
TapTechNews briefly translated some of the update log content as follows:
'Update Pre-Download' means that a few days before a game is scheduled to be released, the game content is downloaded in advance so that players can start playing immediately after the update goes live!
By checking 'My games and apps'>'Manage'>'Updates', you can see the first batch of updates using this new option.
Microsoft stated in the update log that the first Xbox game to support 'Update Pre-Download' is 'Sea of Thieves'.
