Sigma Releases New 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II Lens with Improved Features

TapTechNews May 16th news, Sigma tonight released a new 24-70mm F2.8 DGDN II lens product, with optional L-mount and E-mount versions.

According to the introduction, while not reducing the number of lenses, the size is about 7% smaller and the weight is 10% lighter than the previous model, weighing 745 grams.

The lens adopts a 15-group 19-piece lens structure, including 6 FLD lenses, 2 SLD lenses and 5 aspherical lenses; the closest focusing distance is 17 cm, and at the wide-angle end, the maximum magnification is 1:2.7.

The lens is equipped with an aperture ring, a stepless aperture switch key and an aperture lock switch, allowing aperture operations suitable for various shooting situations. The lens is equipped with two AFL buttons, and a series of functions can be assigned through the selected camera's menu.

The lens also supports HLA high-speed autofocus. In addition to having a dust-proof and splash-proof structure, the front group lens of the lens also has a water-proof and oil-proof coating; the lens is equipped with a zoom lock switch at the wide-angle end, which can lock the lens at the wide-angle end to prevent the lens barrel from inadvertently extending under its own weight.

The overseas price of this lens is 1199 US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 8657 yuan RMB), and the domestic price has not been announced yet.
