In June this year, Elon Musk withdrew the lawsuit against OpenAI and the company's two co-founders, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, in a California court. Previously, he accused the company of breaching the contract and claimed that it had abandoned the original intention of benefiting humanity.

TapTechNews noted that Musk's decision to withdraw the lawsuit was only one day before the judge was originally scheduled to hear OpenAI's motion to dismiss the lawsuit. The day before, Musk also publicly criticized OpenAI and its new partnership with Apple, saying that if Apple integrates OpenAI's technology into the operating system level of iPhones and Macs, he will ban his company from using Apple devices and made some other threats.

His lawsuit alleges that OpenAI violated the agreement reached with Musk and other founding members, who all promised to build OpenAI as a non-profit organization and keep its technology open source.
