2024 Chang'an Ford Explorer Officially Released with Minor Adjustments

TapTechNews August 20th news, the 2024 Chang'an Ford Explorer model was officially released today. This car is positioned as an annual facelift model, mainly making minor adjustments in appearance, interior, configuration and power. The new car will be unveiled at the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show which opens on August 30th and will be launched in the third quarter of this year.

In terms of appearance, the car adds the colors of Bering Sea Gray and Peyto Lake Blue, and at the same time adjusts the rims on the basis of the current model. Among them, the standard version model adds a new style of 18-inch rims and all-terrain tires, the Titanium version model adds a new style of 20-inch rims, and the Red Gold version model adds a new style of 21-inch rims.

In terms of interior, the car adds purple-brown and evening cloud gray genuine leather seats. In the cockpit, it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and uses a 27-inch central control screen and a 12.3-inch LCD instrument; however, configurations such as knee airbags, mobile phone key PAAK, APA one-click parking assistance, and voice control of the second-row seats have been cancelled.

In terms of specifications, The length, width and height of the new Ford Explorer are 5063x2004x1778 millimeters respectively, and the wheelbase is 3055 millimeters (TapTechNews note: the length, width and height of the peak version model are 5066x2004x1797 millimeters). The series models are equipped with a 2.3T turbocharged engine. The official claims that its performance has been tuned, and the maximum power is 213 kilowatts (10 kilowatts higher than the old model), and the peak torque is increased to 445 Newton-meters (20 Newton-meters higher than the old model).
