Dongfeng Corp. and Guangxi Sign 'Dragon Travel Project' Agreement
TapTechNews June 17th news, on June 16th, Dongfeng Corporation and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region signed the Dragon Travel Project cooperation framework agreement in Nanning, and carried out cooperation around the development of the new energy vehicle industry. Dongfeng Corporation's chairman and Party secretary Yang Qing had a talk with the chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Lan Tianli, and witnessed the signing of the agreement together.
According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly support the implementation of the Dragon Travel Project and create a core product group of new energy.
It is understood that Dongfeng Corporation will provide resource guarantee for the implementation of the Dragon Travel Project in Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile by means of product introduction, technology introduction and project coordination. The Dragon Travel Project will focus on the construction of the innovation chain of Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile, fully covering pure electric, hybrid and hydrogen fuel products, and building a complete new energy product matrix, which not only enhances the brand influence and product competitiveness of Cheng Long and Feng Xing, but also accelerates the transformation and upgrading pace of Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile.
TapTechNews found out from public information that Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. (referred to as Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile) was founded in 1954. It is a state-owned wholly-owned holding company with 75% held by Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. and 25% held by Guangxi Liuzhou Industrial Investment Development Group Co., Ltd., covering an area of about 5180 mu (approx. 3.454 million square meters) and has more than 5700 employees at present. It is the commercial vehicle production base, passenger vehicle production base, independent brand R&D base and Southeast Asia export base of Dongfeng Motor Corporation in the south.
