Huawei's Announcements at HDC 2024

TapTechNews June 21st news, at the HDC 2024 Huawei Developer Conference this afternoon, Yu Chengdong, the Executive Director of Huawei, the Chairman of the Terminal BG, and the Chairman of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, disclosed that Huawei Mate 70 series mobile phones will be released in the fourth quarter of this year (October to December).

In addition, the Hongmeng HarmonyOS NEXT started to push the Beta version to developers today, and will be pushed to ordinary consumers in August this year. Huawei Mate 70 series will be the first to carry the official version of Hongmeng HarmonyOS NEXT, and the remaining devices will also be pushed the official version successively from the fourth quarter.

TapTechNews learned from the developer conference that Yu Chengdong also disclosed that HarmonyOS NEXT can realize a 30% improvement in the overall performance of the whole machine and a 20% reduction in power consumption. The native applications of Hongmeng are in the full sprint stage, and all of the TOP5000 applications have been started, meeting 99.9% of the user's usage time. More than 1500 have been completed and put on the shelves, covering 18 fields.
