Global AIB Graphics Card Market Update in 2024 Q1

TapTechNews June 6 news, the latest report released by the market research organization JonPeddieResearch (JPR) today shows that the global AIB graphics card market shipments in the first quarter of 2024 is 8.7 million units, which is lower than 9.5 million units in the previous quarter, a 7.9% quarter-on-quarter decrease and a 39.2% year-on-year increase.

In terms of desktop discrete graphics card suppliers, NVIDIA's market share increased by 8 percentage points compared to the previous quarter, while AMD's share decreased by 7 percentage points. NVIDIA continues to dominate the market share, reaching 88%.

Intel launched Arc A770 and A750 in the third quarter of 2022 and entered the AIB market, but due to the company's failure to make significant progress in the AIB market yet, its market share remains the same as the previous quarter.

The shipments in the first quarter of 2024 decreased by 7.9% quarter-on-quarter, lower than the average quarter-on-quarter decline of 10.9% in the past 10 years' first quarters.

The shipments in the first quarter of 2024 is 8.7 million units, which is 39% higher than the same period last year and lower than 9.5 million units in the previous quarter.

AMD's total desktop AIB graphics card shipments in the first quarter decreased by -41% quarter-on-quarter and increased by 39% year-on-year.

NVIDIA's shipments increased by 0.9% quarter-on-quarter and increased by 45.6% year-on-year, continuing to dominate with 88% market share.
