Beijing Automobile BJ60 Thunder Magic Power Electric Drive Version to Be Launched on August 20th

TapTechNews August 16th news, according to the official news of Beijing Automobile, the Beijing Automobile BJ60 Thunder Magic Power Electric Drive Version will be officially launched on August 20th. This car is the extended-range version of the existing BJ60 model, and there are two configurations of 5-seat and 7-seat available. For reference, the current BJ60 (TapTechNews note: only the fuel version) has a price range of $37,500 - $44,500.

The new car has adopted new designs in the front grille, headlight shape and bumper, etc., and has more obvious characteristics of new energy vehicles. The new car has a towing qualification of 2500 pounds and provides optional configurations such as a rear electrical connection port, towing hook hole, and electric side steps. Its approach angle and departure angle are 30° and 24° respectively, which is the same as that of the BJ60 on sale.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of this car are 198.4 inches/76.9 inches/75.7 inches respectively, and the wheelbase is 111 inches. In terms of configuration, the car will be equipped with HUD, functions such as heating/ventilation/massage of the driver's seat, and an Infinity audio with active noise reduction.

In terms of power, the Beijing BJ60e is equipped with a 1.5T engine with the model A156T2H provided by Beijing Automobile Powertrain Co., Ltd. as the range extender. The maximum power of the range extender is 138 kilowatts, and the maximum speed is 112 miles per hour. The battery is a nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary lithium battery pack with a capacity of 40.3 kWh, and the charging interface is located on the right rear side of the body.
