At 10:46 am on the same day, in the east square of Kunshan City Terminal, with the roar of the propeller, a light helicopter took off and quickly rose to a height of 285 meters (about 935 feet) and sped towards Shanghai Pudong Airport in accordance with the established route. The highest speed approached 124 miles per hour. At 11:17 am, the aircraft successfully arrived at Shanghai Pudong Xingye Base and successfully completed this test flight mission.
It is introduced that the BELL505 single-engine four-seat light helicopter produced by the American Bell company is used for this flight, with a highest speed of 231 kilometers per hour (about 144 miles per hour) and a maximum range of 566 kilometers (about 351 miles). In the stage of market promotion, the one-way flight price is set at 1600 yuan/person and 1800 yuan/person, and the service content includes the one-way intermodal service of the helicopter from Kunshan City Terminal to Shanghai Pudong Airport, as well as adding the one-on-one dedicated full-process service in the airport after landing, etc. Including the ground connection time in the airport, the whole process is controlled within 1 hour.
The relevant person in charge of Kunshan City Terminal disclosed that the air-air intermodal project service will also deeply expand the coverage of the low-altitude economy. Using the professional resources of the helicopter company, starting from Kunshan City Terminal in Kunshan Development Zone, low-altitude tourism services to Shanghai Disneyland, Zhoushan, and Huangshan will be opened, as well as cross-border aviation emergency medical rescue and transfer services to hospitals such as Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, Chest Hospital, and Pulmonary Hospital.
