TapTechNews October 4th news, Tesla has begun sending invitations to customers to order the non-Foundation Series Cybertruck with a price of $79,990 (excluding optional extras). Although as of the time TapTechNews writes, Tesla's Cybertruck order page still shows the Foundation Series model, but the standard version of this all-electric pickup truck seems to be about to start production.

The Foundation Series model adds $20,000 to the base price of the Cybertruck, which means the $79,990 Cybertruck all-wheel drive (AWD) model becomes $99,990, and the $99,990 three-motor Cyberbeast becomes an all-electric pickup truck of $119,990. The Foundation Series model adds many additional features and benefits, but it does increase the entry price for buyers.

According to posts on social media, after the Foundation Series model was removed, now customers can order a Cybertruck without any additional configurations. Therefore, if customers choose a Cybertruck AWD with core wheels and covers, tactical gray trim, no FSD and no accessories, they can purchase the vehicle at a pre-tax price of $79,990 (TapTechNews note: currently about 563,000 Chinese yuan).

The delivery of non-Foundation Series Cybertruck is expected to begin between October and November 2024. Interestingly, the range of the standard version of Cybertruck AWD is 325 miles (about 523.04 kilometers), which is lower than that of the Foundation Series Cybertruck AWD of 340 miles (about 547.18 kilometers).

Some members of the Tesla community pointed out that if you order a standard version of Cybertruck with all the options of the Foundation Series model, the price difference from the Foundation Series model will be very small.
