Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Build 26252 Preview Update with Changes and Fixes

TapTechNews July 11th news, Microsoft today released the Windows 11 Build 26252 preview update for Windows Insider program members in the Canary channel and stated that it will not release the SDK version for the Canary channel to developers in the short term.

[Lock Screen]

Starting from this preview version in the Canary channel, users can use more widgets other than the weather on the lock screen and users can place information such as finance, transportation and sports on the lock screen to grasp information anytime and anywhere and improve efficiency.

Microsoft said that by using Acrylic semi-transparent blur, adjusting the card size, optimizing the spacing and font, the reading experience of the cards has been improved. TapTechNews note: Users can enter Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen for relevant adjustments.

[Start Menu]

Users can pin applications in the start menu to the taskbar, and the operation steps are to drag and drop items directly from the pinned part of the start menu to the taskbar.

[Input]

Fixed the problem that some Insider members had errors when using languages such as Chinese for voice input.

Fixed the problem that pinyin would unexpectedly be displayed twice in the available input method list in OOBE.

Fixed the problem that the content in the performance mode could not be displayed correctly in dark mode.

[Settings]

Fixed the problem that the icon in Settings > Applications > Startup had too much available space for some users, resulting in the icon being truncated.

Fixed the problem of unexpected text repetition when showing warnings about the slow charger speed in Settings > System > Power and Battery.

Fixed the problem that the Windows Update page could not be displayed correctly (no text displayed) in the Settings app after some Insiders installed a preview version.
