New Wuling Hongguang Pure Electric and Fuel Versions Announced
TapTechNews June 14th news, Wuling Hongguang is an economical MPV car launched by SAIC-GM-Wuling in 2010. Due to its good cost performance and reliability, it is called the Generation God Car by netizens, and the monthly sales once reached 80,000 units at its peak. In the Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product List (Batch 384) released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology yesterday, the pure electric and fuel dual versions of the new Wuling Hongguang have both completed the declaration.
The side of the new car still maintains the current model design, and the front face adopts a more rounded and full simple design, equipped with a fully enclosed central grid and more agile headlights. Different from the pure electric version, the fuel model is equipped with a visually boundless dot-matrix front grille, and the two power models are differentiated.

The new Wuling Hongguang has a length, width and height of 4515/1725/1790 mm (177.76/67.91/70.47 inches) respectively, and the wheelbase is 2850 mm (112.2 inches).
The pure electric model is equipped with a motor from Liuzhou Saike Technology Development Co., Ltd. with a power of 75 kW and a lithium iron phosphate battery produced by Guoxuan High-Tech or Saike Ruipu.
The fuel model is equipped with a 1.5L engine from SAIC-GM-Wuling with a power of 75 kW.
In terms of optional parts, the car can be selected with reverse camera, as well as without wheel decorative covers, black door handles and tailgate handles, etc. It is expected that these black exterior parts will be used for entry-level models.
