Samsung Announces Important Scenario Vulnerability Program with Lucrative Rewards

TapTechNews August 7th news, Samsung has now announced an 'Important Scenario Vulnerability Program (ISVP)', encouraging developers to mine security vulnerabilities for various Samsung mobile devices.

Among them, the reward for local arbitrary execution code-type vulnerabilities is around 300,000 US dollars, and the reward for remote code execution vulnerabilities is 1 million US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 7.154 million Chinese yuan).

For Samsung RichOS, finding a local code execution vulnerability can get 150,000 US dollars (currently about 1.073 million Chinese yuan), the highest reward for remote code execution vulnerability is 300,000 US dollars, and the person who successfully unlocks for the first time and extracts the data will get a 400,000 US dollars reward, and 200,000 US dollars for non-first unlock.

Samsung also revealed that the company has paid 827,925 US dollars (currently about 5.923 million Chinese yuan) for the 2023 vulnerability bounty program, and a total of 113 security researchers have participated in the mobile security rewards program. Since 2017, Samsung's vulnerability bounty program has cumulatively paid more than 4.9 million US dollars (currently about 35.056 million Chinese yuan).
