Elon Musk Says Tesla Roadster 2 Can Fly

TapTechNews reports on June 16 that Elon Musk once again claimed that the Tesla Roadster 2, which has been jokingly called by the outside world as 'always launching next year', will be able to fly.

According to Electrek, the Tesla Roadster 2 prototype was unveiled in 2017 and was originally planned to go into production in 2020, but has been postponed every year since. Even though Tesla promised to give dozens of free new Roadsters to Tesla owners who participated in the referral program a few years ago, the postponement of the Roadster has become a joke, and there is widespread skepticism about whether it will really go on sale.

However, earlier this year, Musk rarely talked about the next-generation Roadster. He said that the design of the car would be updated (after all, it has been 7 years since its release) and promised to go on the market in 2025. But there has been no news about the new Roadster since then, not even appearing in the presentation at Tesla's latest shareholder meeting.

TapTechNews noticed that Musk had previously mentioned the new version of the Roadster with the 'SpaceX package', which will include cold air thrusters that theoretically could allow the Roadster to 'fly' for a short distance, or more precisely, to jump and hover.

For now, the fate of the new Roadster remains uncertain.
