Huawei's HarmonyOS Installing Enterprise Internal Applications

TapTechNews May 17th news, as is well known, the Apple iOS system can install some special applications that have not been reviewed by the AppStore by installing enterprise profile files, and now it seems that the same is true for Huawei's HarmonyOS Next.

Huawei now issues a HarmonyOS developer note, stating that developers can compile and package their applications through a dedicated internal organization release certificate and Profile, and then upload the application package and profile file to a server or third-party cloud, so that users can directly download and install.

According to Huawei, this method is suitable for those HarmonyOS applications that are not suitable or do not wish to be publicly released on the Huawei AppGallery and are for enterprise internal or specific groups of people, and developers can also use the AGC to distribute in a small range through designated channels.

If an application has been successfully installed but is blocked from running, users also need to find the corresponding internal enterprise application in Settings > System > Enterprise Devices and Applications Management > Enterprise Application Management and allow it to run.

Of course, TapTechNews must also remind that currently the internal enterprise application release only supports HarmonyOS applications developed with the Stage model and does not support meta-services for the time being.
