UK CMA Starts Investigation into HPE's Acquisition of Juniper Networks

On June 19th, 2024: Initiated the merger investigation.

The deadline for the first stage decision on August 14th, 2024.

The CMA is considering whether the transaction would result in a substantial reduction in competition within any one or more markets for goods or services in the UK if it takes effect.

TapTechNews reported earlier that in January 2024, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise HPE announced a $14 billion (TapTechNews note: currently about 101.716 billion RMB) all-cash acquisition of Juniper Networks, which may be completed by the end of 2024 or early 2025, depending on regulatory approval.
