Fujifilm May Be Developing a Digital Version of XPAN/TX-1-like Camera

And according to foreign media FujiRumors, Fujifilm is currently discussing a digital version of the 'XPAN/TX-1-like' medium format (4433 size) camera, which is expected to be launched in 2028, the 30th anniversary of the release of Hasselblad XPAN/Fujifilm TX-1.

However, TapTechNews noticed that both the current Fujifilm GFX medium format camera and Hasselblad's X1D/X2D cameras have an 'XPAN cropping mode', allowing users to use the 65mm x 24mm shooting format to obtain a similar wide-format experience as in those years. Considering that Fujifilm is unlikely to develop a dedicated wide-format CMOS for the commemorative camera in 2028, it is expected that the relevant camera is also 'cropped' from the standard 4433 sensor software.

In addition, referring to the previous report, Fujifilm is said to be currently developing a non-interchangeable lens medium format (4433 size) digital camera, expected to be released in 2025.
