iOS 18

In the current iOS system, when users search for a certain option in the Settings application, there are often cases of no result or incorrect result. For example, settings options such as 'Charging Optimization' (a setting on iPhone 15Pro models) cannot appear in the search results.

Gurman said that the iOS 18 Settings application will enable a brand new user interface, reorganize the layout, simplify page navigation, and improve the search function. In addition, Apple will also improve the Control Center.

macOS 15

Apple plans to adjust the Settings menu options of the macOS system and will reorder the macOS settings options according to 'priority and overall importance'. TapTechNews attaches the relevant adjustment contents as follows:

The 'Notifications' and 'Sound' categories will be moved down.

The 'General Settings' will be moved up below the 'Network Settings'.

The existing wallpaper and display sections will no longer have a dedicated section and will be placed together with General Settings, Accessibility Settings, etc.

Privacy and security will be placed together with Touch ID and password and other related settings.

Siri and Spotlight will be placed together with Internet accounts and Game Center.

And Apple plans to adjust Spotlight and the entire operating system search in iOS 18 and macOS 15 systems and support controlling a certain function of the application through Siri voice commands.
