Qualcomm Aims to Launch Under $700 Snapdragon X Series by 2025

TapTechNews August 23rd news, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon recently announced that its goal is to launch a Snapdragon X series model under $700 (TapTechNews note: currently about 5,000 RMB) by 2025.

Therefore, Qualcomm quietly launched a new entry-level SKU - X1P-42-100, which means that the Snapdragon XPlus product pricing may be further reduced.

This is also the only 8-core Snapdragon XPlus processor at present, with a 30MB cache, a single-core acceleration frequency of 3.4GHz and a multi-core acceleration frequency of 3.2GHz. Its Adreno GPU has only 1.7 TFLOPS of single-precision computing power, which is only 44% of the performance compared to X1P-64-100, or only 37% of the flagship 12-core SKU.

So far, the only laptop confirmed to carry this chip is the ASUS VivoBook S15, but WinFuture also found a ProArt PZ13 model carrying this chip two months ago, which means that Qualcomm has been preparing for this for a long time.
