2025 Ford Maverick New Features and Updates
TapTechNews August 1st news, Ford has launched the 2025 model for its small pickup truck Maverick, adding more technological configurations, performance options and a hybrid version.
The exterior and interior of the 2025 Ford Maverick have been updated, providing a 13.2-inch central touchscreen, a four-wheel drive hybrid model, and 5G modems and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection functions. The biggest highlight of the 2025 model is that the 2.5-liter hybrid system has added a four-wheel drive version, enhancing the towing and loading capacity to be on par with the more powerful EcoBoost model.
The four-wheel drive hybrid version is exactly the configuration with the highest consumer demand, and Ford has met the users' expectations this time. The system still uses an Atkinson cycle inline-four cylinder engine combined with a single motor, with a maximum output of 194 horsepower and a peak torque of 210 pound-feet. The transmission is still a CVT continuously variable transmission, and two drive forms, front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, are available. The 2025 Ford Maverick also offers a 2.0T pure gasoline engine model with a maximum power of 238 horsepower, matching an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive system. The 2.5L petrol-electric hybrid system will be standard on the XL, XLT, and Lariat versions, and the Tremor version is standard with the 2.0T pure fuel powertrain and is also equipped with a reinforced suspension with a higher ride height and an all-wheel drive system. Of course, the XL, XLT, and Lariat versions can also choose the 2.0T pure fuel powertrain.
As a pickup truck model, the new Ford Maverick has added some practical configurations in the trunk, such as being equipped with power sockets, preset anchors and lighting sources, and also equipped with a professional trailer hitch assist system, which is a standard configuration on the Lariat and Tremor models, while the XL and XLT can be optionally equipped. The maximum payload of the new Ford Maverick front-wheel drive model is 1500 pounds, and the maximum payload of the four-wheel drive model is 1400 pounds. If the 4K towing kit is selected, its towing weight can reach up to 4000 pounds.
The 2025 Maverick adopts a new grille and fang-shaped headlights. The interior is equipped with a 13.2-inch new touchscreen a nd supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the new car also has a 360-degree camera and 5G in-vehicle module, and supports over-the-air updates.
Since its launch in 2021, this Ford entry-level pickup has been highly popular, and its sales and production have increased rapidly. In the first half of this year, the production of Maverick has increased by 77% year-on-year.
