SAIC-GM Automobile's July Sales Update Strong Growth in New Energy Vehicles
TapTechNews August 1st news, SAIC-GM Automobile announced the retail situation of July at noon today. The data shows that the retail sales volume in that month was 44,822 units, with a 2% month-on-month increase, among which the retail sales volume of new energy vehicles was 7,901 units, with a 27% month-on-month increase.
From the total amount of this year, from January to July, SAIC-GM's cumulative retail sales volume was 349,922 units, among which the cumulative retail sales volume of new energy vehicles was 50,006 units, with a year-on-year increase of 41.6%.
The official also specifically mentioned the sales situation of the Buick GL8 family, claiming that it ushered in a good start in the second half of the year: it achieved a sales volume of 8,229 units in July, with a 53% month-on-month increase, and continuously topped the weekly sales list of MPV models.
According to the official introduction, SAIC-GM Automobile is expected to launch a total of 12 new new energy vehicle models from 2024 to 2025, including the Ultium pure electric vehicle model and the new-generation PHEV intelligent plug-in hybrid vehicle model.
In terms of intelligent networking, SAIC-GM Automobile's new-generation super assisted driving system will also be gradually deployed on various brand models, and at the same time, advanced intelligent assisted driving functions covering a wider range of usage scenarios will also be launched.
