Volkswagen Group's Q2 Global Delivery Volume and Market Analysis

TapTechNews July 10th news, Volkswagen Group announced today that the global delivery volume in the second quarter was 2,243,700 units, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%. Audi and the Chinese market are the main factors leading to the decline in sales.

Specifically, the delivery volume of the Audi brand in the second quarter decreased by 11.3%, and the Volkswagen brand decreased by 5.2%. However, Skoda and SEAT/Cupra achieved growth.

From the regional perspective, the delivery volume in Western Europe in the second quarter increased by 5.1%, the Central and Eastern European regions decreased by 3.2%, and the North American region increased by 10.8%, and the delivery volume in the Chinese region decreased by 19.3%.

TapTechNews noted that in the first half of this year, the Volkswagen Group delivered only 317,200 electric vehicles globally, a decrease of 4,400 units compared to the same period in 2023. The main reason is the weak demand in the European and American markets, and the delivery volume of electric vehicles in both regions has decreased by 15%.
