Smart #5 SUV Pre-Sale Announcement, Features, and Specifications
TapTechNews September 20th news, at the pre-sale launch event of the smart #5 (Elf #5) large five-seat SUV held tonight, the official announced that the pre-sale price of the smart #5 starts from 245,000 yuan ($35,285.71).
The smart #5 has 8 exterior colors such as Time Green, Particle White, Secret Green, Flowing Sand Gold, Cyber Silver, Silent Black, Laser Red, and Amber Brown; and there are 6 interior colors available, including Obsidian Black, Glacier Blue, Dusk Shadow Black, Moonlight White, Desert Brown, and Valley Green.
The smart #5 is equipped with an 800V pure electric high-voltage platform and supports 4C ultra-fast charging technology. With 15 minutes of charging, the cruising range can reach 500 kilometers (310.69 miles), and at the same time, it is equipped with a maximum 100 kWh battery, and the CLTC cruising range is 740 kilometers (460.42 miles).
TapTechNews learned that the body dimensions of the smart #5 are 4705mm x 1920mm x 1705mm (185.24 inches x 75.59 inches x 67.13 inches), and the wheelbase is 2900mm (114.17 inches); it adopts a front double wishbone independent suspension + rear five-link independent suspension, which is jointly tuned by the Mercedes-Benz and smart team.
The smart #5 has 34 storage spaces, with a 72-liter (2.54 cu ft) front trunk and a 110-liter (3.88 cu ft) hidden space at the bottom of the trunk; it is claimed to be equipped with the industry's first automotive-grade full-color laser projector, with a peak brightness of 2000 lumens, a maximum size of 233 inches, and a resolution of 1080P.
