BYD's Denza Z9 GT Officially Launched in the US Market
TapTechNews September 20th news, BYD's Denza brand's first sedan, the Z9 GT, officially goes on the market tonight. This car offers five different configurations to choose from. The three plug-in hybrid models are priced at $48,300, $52,300, and $60,100 respectively; the two pure electric versions are priced at $51,200 and $55,800. In addition, the car also launches two limited Yi San Fang plug-in hybrid first edition models with only 2010 units.

As the first sedan under the Denza brand, the Z9 GT's appearance is designed by Wolfgang Egger, the design director of the BYD Group, featuring the Sun Corona front face and the Hourglass taillights. The body dimensions are 173.2*78.3 inches*59.1/58.3 inches, and the wheelbase is 122.6 inches.
The Denza Z9 GT is built on the Yi San Fang platform, which is the world's first technical platform that can simultaneously achieve three-motor independent drive and rear-wheel steering. The new car is equipped with the CTB battery body integration technology, provides a multi-laser radar option, and has the BAS3.0+ (vehicle-end-to-end) advanced intelligent driving assistance system. Nationwide mapless high-speed NOA and close-range valet parking are delivered at production, and by the end of the year, nationwide mapless urban NOA can be achieved. In the first quarter of 2025, functions such as Yi San Fang parking and road surface preview will also be pushed.
The car also debuts with an AI multimodal large model, supporting dialect recognition, creating timed tasks, AI wallpaper drawing, microphone-free KTV, 32-megapixel central control camera selfies, and other functions.
Based on the rear axle dual-motor independent steering of the Yi San Fang, the Denza Z9 GT can achieve the world's largest positive and negative 10° rear-wheel steering angle, which can not only realize the torque control of the left and right rear wheels, but also realize the inner and outer eight postures of the rear wheels; the vehicle's turning radius is only 15.1 feet, significantly leading the industry and having the performance of an A0-class turning radius, and the moose test result exceeds 53 mph.
In the interior, the Denza Z9 GT is equipped with an embedded full LCD instrument panel and a four-spoke multi-function steer ing wheel. The center console is equipped with a floating multimedia touch screen, and the front passenger seat is equipped with an embedded entertainment screen. The front and rear seats both support electric adjustment and have heating, ventilation, and 10-point massage functions. The front passenger seat is equipped with a zero-gravity seat and a four-way adjustable leg rest, and the rear provides a CLA scroll-type seat cushion length adjustment. The car is also equipped with an electric door, supporting functions such as one-click closing of all doors by stepping on the brake and pedestrian detection.
In addition, the Denza Z9 GT provides front and rear compressor refrigerators, there is a Devialet liftable speaker tower in the front, and the dual 50W wireless charging panels can also be lifted. The front passenger provides a zero-gravity seat, and it is also equipped with a hidden electric air outlet, 128-color ambient light, a 2.3-square-yard sunroof, and a sectional sunshade.
